Terry Rolls Connie's House by Wayne Smith

Wwaynesmithhen Terry was in graduate school I was a senior at UGA. Terry was working at the College of Business Administration and a girl named Connie came to work there.  She was from Greensboro, GA.  Connie was living in a rented house in the Wolfskin Community, which was way out in the boondocks.

Terry really liked her and he persuaded me to go with him one night to roll her house.  He got several rolls of toilet paper and we drove out there after dark and drove up in front of the house with our headlights turned off.

We got out and started throwing the rolls of TP up in the trees and over the house.  It was great fun and we had the whole yard draped with long streamers.  When we finished we got back in Terry's car, a 1958 Chevy stationwagon, and discovered that the battery was dead.  The engine wouldn't even turn over and we couldn't get it started.

We ended up having to go up and knock on Connie's door and ask to use her phone to call for help.  Terry was cavalier about it.  He told Connie that we just happened to be driving by and our car broke down.  We said nothing about her yard and she discovered the toilet paper the next morning.--Rev.
