During the 1980s and early 1990s, I wrote newspaper columns for a couple of local publications: The Athens Observer and then The Athens Daily News (owned by Morris Communications). I wrote about many different things including growing up as a girl with a boy's first name, raising a rambunctious set of boy/girl twins, people, authors I admired and much more. I'll be posting some of these columns here from time to time. Check back soon to read these blasts from my journalistic past.
I've also written for many regional and national magazines (including Athens Magazine, Grit, Mature Living, Twins, Teen Power, The Lookout, Capper's, Woman's Touch, Seek, Laf!, Family Times) and other publications (including the Chicago Tribune) for over 20 years as well as publishing short fiction and a poem or two in literary magazines (including The Roswell New Mexico Literary Review, Summerfield Journal, Housewife-Writer's Forum, Poor Katy's Almanac).
